When “Visual designer and embedded browser zoom” is set to any value other than 100%, the effective zoom changes every time a Designer is newly opened. Switching tabs or switching between already open files doesn’t change the effective zoom percentage, but opening a fresh Designer tab does and the new value affects every Designer already open. The effective zoom changes proportional to the value of the set zoom, e.g. 150% increases in larger steps than 110%. If the zoom is set to less than 100%, the effective zoom decreases proportionally. The reported value of the zoom in Settings is unaffected.
