Version 7 upgrade guidelines

Hi,
Im very happy that cuba is moving forward.

However, after upgrading to version 7 platform following the studio guide. I’m a bit lost. I’m not sure how to upgrade all my screens and screen controllers.

The project is still relatively in it’s startup phase, so I’d like all the screens to be adapted to version 7 platform so we don’t have to worry about 2 different api’s.

But how? I’ve been looking for documentation but nowhere I can find anything that discusses the differences between 6 and 7.

Basically I would like to see a guide on how to migrate a typical entity browser/editor to the new platform. Including migrating datasources do datacomponents.

Hi Tom,

In the next couple of weeks, we are going to publish the information about the differences in the old and new APIs in a comparative style, so the developers who know the old API will easily learn the new one. There will also be more information on the new API in the docs.

Also, you actually don’t have to migrate your existing screens as the old API is not going to disappear any time soon.
