There must be a list of what the "free" version does not do

I would like to use the free version only but I want to find out if it would be viable or not.

The last time I tried, the system could not do a complete re-engineered crud application. Some of the functionality had to be hand-coded. I was wondering if that is the case throughout.

All visual designers that require Studio license - speed up coding. If you don’t have Studio subscription then you’ll need to write code manually according to the CUBA platform documentation. Visual designers don’t provide any new capabilities, they just save developer’s time.
