what is the reason for excluding sys$ScheduledTask from studio association lookup [new entity creation screen]? (lack of ui screens?)
Should I avoid manual definition of this association in my entity?

Hi.
We decided to show only frequently used entities, that’s why we excluding sys$ScheduledTask and lots of other system entities from studio association lookup. If you create this association manually using IDE it will work fine.
