Same process definition name for multiple deployed versions of a process model

Hi,

When you make some backward compatible change to a process model (not deleting any existing activities and rather add a new user task for example) and want to deploy and update the LAST deployed version, its hard to tell which is last version because all previous definitions have exact same name (although different codes)

Refer to the attached screenshots

Even bigger problem is that the default selection in Deploy->Update existing model is the first deployed version of that model which is actually incompatible with changes now (although last deployed version is compatible), so you end up always getting error that can’t update if you don’t change dropdown value which itself is hard to change as all shows same name

Let me know if more clarification needed.

Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for pointing out the problem. You are right. We’ll add more information to the lookup, e.g. process code and deployment time and also we’ll sort the records in the lookup be deployment time. See the related issue.

Thanks for the update
