More forgiving multiple Studio licensing violation

There have been a couple of occasions where I have been developing on my workstation and left Studio running then gone to a customer site with my laptop and am not able to open a project in Studio as it’s still running on my workstation. In these cases, I have been able to VPN back to the office and stop Studio, but I fear that there is going to be a time where this is not possible at a customer with a restrictive VPN policy.

I realize this is a conflict with the terms of the license, but it would be nice if there was a little forgiveness or at a minimum allow a choice on which Studio instance has precedence. When this happens with say, SAP, they allow you to terminate the local/remote session or they allow both but they log the incident.

Thanks,

Ian

Hi Ian,

I agree - we should allow a user to choose what Studio instance will continue working.
