BPM - Following BPM Subsystem Tutorial: Tommy Norman can't see any process instances

Hi,

I am trying to gain some understanding in how BPM works and integrates with CUBA. To accomplish it I am following the tutorial BPM Subsystem in

https://doc.cuba-platform.com/bpm-latest/bpm.html

The point is that I get to point 2.8.1 Creating Users successfully, and then create the role quick-start and assign it to the three users, but when accessing with the Tommy user, I can’t see any options in the menu although I have followed the steps strictly and all permissions are set.

However I am not being able to monitor open processes or anyother thing then nothing shows in the menu. It is corrected if I set the option “show all screens” in the quick-start role.

Any ideas?

REgards,

Carlos.

Hi Carlos,

The BPM add-on is deprecated and not recommended to use in new projects. Please use BProc for CUBA or BPM for Jmix.

Konstantin

Hi Konstantin. Thanks for your answer. Is the pluggin available for use within the standard CubaJmix subscription? Or does it involce an additional subscription/payment?

Thanks and regards.
Carlos.

It’s a paid add-on with a separate licensing fee.
You can get a trial version to see if it fits your needs.

Hi Konstantin,

The platform seems to obligue me to jump to the company subscription plan if wanting to extend my subscription with BProc. So having a plain CUBA/JMIX subscription plan + BProc requires to enroll in the company subscription plan?? This more than doubles the addition of both fares.

So If I was interested in essaying the BProc as individual, it would involve giving up all the designers part in JMIX Studio right?

On the other hand, when I finish developing the BProc part, will I still need to maintain a subscription for the BProc part to keep using (not further developing) them in my application?

Regards,
Carlos.

Hi Carlos,

If you are on the individual subscription plan, you can purchase BProc or Jmix BPM as an individual with the discount. If you have any issues with this, please drop as an email at info@jmix.io.

Not necessarily. You need subscription to the add-on only to have access to the artifact repository to be able to download it. If you set up an own repository or just keep the artifact in the local Gradle cache (this is not very reliable though), you can cancel the add-on subscription and happily use the last downloaded version.

Konstantin

ok Konstantin. I could solve it already. Have extended my subscription to include BProc. Problem solved. Thanks.
