Application Component

I had created application component in 6.x but not yet in v7.x
I tried this way:

For the Application component:

  1. Advanced >> App Component Descripton
  2. Advanced >> Install App Component

For the master application that is using the application component

    dependencies {
   ........
    appComponent('com.company.myapp:mysales-global:0.1-SNAPSHOT')

}

Then clean, Assemble and deployed but I don’t see the menu option that I am expecting from the application component. Note that both applications are using v7.2.2

Is there anything I’m missing that I should check?

Hi!
Here is the way to create the application component.

For the Application component:

  1. Advanced >> App Component Description
  2. Advanced >> Install App Component

For the master application that is using the application component

  1. Open Project Properties and check “Use maven local”
    image
  2. Open Marketplace and select “Install addon manually”
    image
  3. Insert addon coordinates in the newly opened window and click install.

Regards.

Thanks Natalia that worked
How can I remove this type of appComponent when i need to? I tried to remove the added line from build.grade but the appComponent is still in the main project!

Hi,
here is the way to delete installed application component

  1. Open Marketplace
  2. Select Installed tab
  3. Find addon you want to uninstall in the list
  4. Right-click on the addon
  5. Click Uninstall
    image
  6. Then click Apply

Thanks Natalia
But I meant the process of removing custom add-on like we installed one in this thread. I see the apply button is inactive when I select any custom add-on, please see below image:

I can uninstall any add-on installed from marketplace but want to uninstall custom add-on installed.

Uninstall custom component with the same way you uninstall any component from marketplace. Select it in the list, do the right-click and click Uninstall, then click Apply.

This is strange that it works for you but not for me! Even I double-click the Apply Button remains inactive. Moreover I do not have those buttons that you shared as image. Are using the same latest version of the Studio?

First way to delete:
addon-deleting

The second way to delete:
addon-deleting1

Hi
That works when it is installed from Marketplace but I don’t have that same menu option when it is my own app Component installed that i want to uninstall.

I’ve created and installed my own app Component.
Then I open the Marketplace window, switch to the Installed tab.
I find my app component, do the right-click on it and see the Uninstall/Delete option.
Click on it, the component will disappear from the list.
Apply button became available. Click on it.

I see what you mean but it’s strange that i see my own app components listed but they are inactive as you see them in the snap-shot below. Right-click doesn’t return any option as you described.
